Accommodation and Travel

For visitors to Dunedin, there is a variety of excellent quality accommodation to choose from. On-campus accommodation is available at University College 'UniCol' and several hotels and motels are suggested below. We have also included links to other Dunedin accommodation, some helpful maps, and links about other activities in Dunedin.

We suggest you book off campus rooms early, as there are several other conferences in Dunedin in November 2010 and accommodation is already filling up.

Accommodation - On campus

University College 'UniCol' is the base for conference administration and registration, and where the Welcome Reception and daily teas and lunches will be held. UniCol is in the heart of the University Campus and a one minute walk from the Archway Theatres, the main venue for the conference sessions. We will be using the recently developed 'Annex Wing' for accommodation, it has shared bathroom facilities, kitchenettes, common rooms, and laundry rooms on each floor.

At UniCol there is the option of:

  1. Single Rooms ($65)
  2. Double Rooms ($95)

Continental breakfast is included in the above prices.

Accommodation - Off campus

A range of other accommodation options are listed below. All except the Scenic Hotel (downtown) are within a few minutes’ walk of the conference venue. Please contact and book these accommodation venues yourself. Some are offering a special conference rate. To obtain this reduced rate, give the name of this conference when you make your reservation. Sahara will offer 10% off if you quote NZES. Cumberland, Living space, Cargills may have reduced-rate rooms left if you quote NZES.
